At Freehold Theatre's Black Box Theatre,Seattle: April 2, 3, 9, and 10th-Dan Conklin, of Everett, plays the boarder, Stanley, living in a decrepit boarding house. He is visited by two mysterious men, played by Rich Payne of Issaquah, and Emmet Michie of Shoreline. They appear to be boarders, but  with an undertone of a most unpleasant mission. The deluded landlady, Meg,is played by Susan Bradford, Issaquah, her long suffering husband, Petey, by Monty Simpson of Renton. A young neighbor, by Merilee McClure of Sultan. The troupe recently presented a twenty minute excerpt of the play for the EBOR Conference  in Seattle. As a result, they were asked by  to bring the entire play to Oxford, England in the Fall.

The Birthday party is similar to an Agatha Christie pot boiler with a sinister yet comic twist. What will happen to Stanley, and who is he, really?
